I Am Queen: Charlotte is an all-original storytelling production featuring the real life narratives of Black women who live, love and build a legacy in Charlotte, NC. We interview Black women about their lives, write those stories for the stage and enlist a cast of Black woman actors to retell those stories as our Cast of Queens.

Epoch.I Am Queen: Charlotte is the product of the hands & hearts of a dynamic team. Please meet our Production Team! Director - Chanel Blanchett Assistant Director.Chanel holds special interest in empowering and creating opportunities for black women and black youth. Through her work as a freelance director and creator, she has worked with a range of organizations from the Creator’s Collective to Epoch Tribe, to universities and colleges.Other elements of the show are evolving too, including the addition of a new Black female director, Chanel Blanchett, and a new music director, Colin Harden – both Charlotte natives.
