Comparing 11.5" 556 with Omega 30 on ASR brake to 16" 556 with 9k on ASR flash hider the Omega 30 was a little quieter. The Omega 30 has a deeper tone. But the little 9k definitely takes the concussion out. On 16" .300BO supers it sounded about the same as on the 16" 556. Subsonics it sounded pretty good. The R9 is cheaper, the 9K is a little smaller and lighter. Posted: 4/20/2024 11:51:57 PM EST. [#1] I’ve had a 9K for ten years. It’s short and relatively light. It suppresses 9mm subs satisfactorily on the MPX. It’s the only dedicated can I own. I’m a YHM fan. Literally submitted this week for a Resonator K. The Omega 9K and the Spectre 9 have the roughly the same dimensions and MSRP. SS shows The Spectre selling at about 0 higher than the Omega on their site. Looking for some suggestions from people with experience with the Wolf 9SD and the Omega 9K. I own a few Suppressor's but I'm looking for a dedicated subgun 9mm can. Ive researched and have narrowed it down to the two. The gun it will be on will be a Colt 10.5 9mm AR platform SBR.
I love that the Omega 9k is simple, light, short with great sound reduction, but the versatility of the 36m to use on 300 Norma or 338 Lapua that my Omega 300s can't touch has me really thinking! I can purchase the 36m for 9 and the Omega 9k for 9. Appreciate feedback and especially first hand experience! Posted: 9/23/2020 9:50:37 PM EST. 1/2-20 is European threading for rimfire suppressors. Most .45 barrels are threaded 0.578" X 24tpi. Other than matching host threads the general rule is pistols get pistons and springs and fixed barrel gets a fixed mount or a fixed spacer to replace the spring. OOOOPS, 1/2X20 should have been 1/2X28.

The 36M is a rifle can. think a rifle version of the Omega 9K with Saker mounts and an extension to make it more quiet. Compared to the Omega 9K, it's not really heavier in the size for size arena. The Charlie mounts weigh more. It depends on the secondary application to really find which one is better.
I have an Sig P320C with OEM threaded barrel in 1/2x28 and plan to run my SilencerCo Omega 9K on it, amongst some other 9mm hosts. From all my GoogleFU it would appear the OEM barrel has a soft shoulder, requiring the 1/2x28 SN (index’s off the muzzle not shoulder) piston. However SilencerCO’s website eludes I need the standard that index .
SilencerCo's latest offering, the Omega 9K will be available in early 2016. The Omega 9K is an ultra short 9mm and 300BLK suppressor and is the best performing 9mm suppressor under 5 inches. It is full-auto rated for both supersonic and subsonic ammunition. The Omega 9K comes with a piston and adapter for use on browning type actions (pistols). To all Veterans - THANK YOU! With SilencerCo's 1.375" X 24 threaded base pattern rapidly becoming an industry standard I thought it may be a good idea to dedicate a thread to discuss new silencers and accessories that are compatible with it. This is the larger base pattern used on the Omega 300, Hybrid, and Harvester Big Bore / 338.
